**Confined Space Rescue Technician**

**DXP/HSE Integrated** has an upcoming project that requires a team of **Confined Space Rescue Technicians **for a 12-14-week project, 10-hour day/night shifts with a rotation of 14 on, 7 days off. **This project is expected to start approximately the 2nd week of April 2023.**
- 1-2 weeks of mandatory paid onboarding/training prior to work on the client’s site.
- Lodging and meals will be provided.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
The Confined Space Rescue Technician is expected to participate in standby rescue situations and critical tasks on a clients work site.
- Facilitate rescue in the event of an incident involving personnel who are working in confined spaces
- Inspect, inventory, and document all equipment at the beginning of each shift
- Set up and test communications and alarm systems.
- Ensure all gas detection and breathing apparatus equipment are thoroughly inspected prior to use and passes a function test. Must have the ability and experience to set up and dismantle both breathing air systems and gas detection equipment.
- Ability to clearly communicate, problem solve with all levels of personal on site.
- Other duties will be assigned as necessary

**Qualifications required are**:
Technical Rescuer Training/Certification (either of the following will be considered)

NFPA 1006 Rescuer Training
- Technical Core 1&2
- Confined Space 1&2

Industry Recognized Rescuer Training
- Confined Space Technical Rescue
- 2 years of Oil & Gas/Offshore experience

Jurisdictional Training/Certification (training will be provided if necessary)
- Workplace NL Fall Protection
- Workplace NL Confined Space Entry
- Minimum 2 Day Standard First Aid/CPR/AED (CSA Intermediate)

Other Training/Certification (training will be provided if necessary)
- Atmospheric Gas Testing
- Respiratory Protective Equipment w/current Fit Test Certificate
- H2S Alive

**To be considered for this role you must**:

- Must be able to get to and from the job site
- Ability to work in all types of weather
- Pass a pre-access Drug & Alcohol test.
