**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Manager Financial Reporting and Policy, the Financial Analyst, will collaborate with finance and reporting stakeholders of the organization to support various financial reporting, technical accounting and internal controls within the assigned business functions. The Financial Reporting Analyst will gather information from internal sources, ensuring accuracy of the information and assist in transforming them into meaningful information which will assist the organization in meeting their objectives. The Financial Reporting Analyst will support in understanding and documenting processes and key risks, recommending controls to mitigate exposure, and working with the organization on controls and process implementation. The incumbent will play an important role in various ad-hoc projects including implementation of new US GAAP standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Own preparation of certain areas of quarterly and annual Audit Committee and Board meeting communications and the preparation of information to be included in the annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, and related disclosure notes, supported by underlying workings and worksheets.
- Research and preparation of technical accounting memorandums and position papers for the new accounting standards and complex transactions affecting PointClickCare, which are to be submitted to the senior management and the external auditors.
- Conduct interviews and walk throughs and prepare process flows to identify and document key risks and controls from an operations and finance perspective
- Assist in preparation of end-to-end process documents for Quote to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report and Payroll cycles
- Coordinate and prepare consolidation workings and related cash flow statements on a quarterly basis, to assist in the finalization of group financial statements.
- Provide support for financial reporting projects and ad hoc requests, as they arise.
- Identify opportunities to bring efficiencies to the existing financial reporting process using technology tools and/or elimination of redundancies and enhance the quality of financial information available to the stakeholders.
- Other accounting duties including reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts.

**Required Experience**:

- Undergraduate degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of relevant professional accounting experience, preferably in SAAS industry with working experience of accounting under US GAAP.
- Working knowledge of Accounting Systems, preferably NetSuite.
- Understanding of advanced workflow and automation tools like Alteryx, Power BI and Tableau is considered an asset.
- Public Accounting background.
- Dedicated, detail oriented and deadline driven.
- Flexible, organized, and able to handle multiple and competing priorities.
- Quick learner with the ability to thrive in high paced environments.
- Team Player with strong interpersonal skills and sound business judgements.
