We are looking for a highly motivated person for our Montreal Income Tax Analyst position.This person will report to the Manager, Income Tax.

Scope:
The Income Tax Analyst is responsible for preparing the analysis required for the production of provision and tax returns.They will ensure the accuracy and quality of the tax compliance process while taking into consideration tax risk and operational needs.

Description:
Assist the Director, Income Tax and Managers, Income Tax in the preparation of quarterly and annual provision including reconciliation of various tax accounts and continuity schedules;
Assist the Director, Income Tax and Managers, Income Tax in the preparation of the Canadian corporate tax returns;
Support the Manager, Income Tax with various other income tax compliance tasks including preparation instalment calculation, preparation of tax slips;
Prepare answers for income tax audit queries;
Assist in process improvement projects such as end to end income tax compliance process;
Assist in any new business initiatives that have income tax implications.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor degree in Accounting is a must;
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and relevant income tax experience is an asset;
Professional accounting designation CPA is an asset;

Interested in the completion of the Master level degree in Tax or the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program;

Proficient computer skills, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office Excel and/or other accounting related software programs;
Good knowledge of IFRS accounting standards related to taxes is an asset;
Knowledge of tax filing software such as Corporate Taxprep and Taxprep form is an asset;
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with others;
Excellent communication skills / oral and written;
Demonstrated record of initiative and work ethics;
Ability to work on multiple files simultaneously using a rigorous approach.
