**_ POSITION: COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORDINATOR_**

Mitchell & Area Community Outreach

Temporary Full-time (13-month contract)

**_ : _**_The Community Outreach Coordinator provides support for the planning, development, promotion, implementation and evaluation of programs and services to meet the needs of seniors and disabled people living in West Perth._

**_ REPORTS TO:_**_ Manager of Outreach Services_

**_ DATE REQUIRED: _**_March 2024_

**_ SALARY:_**_ $23.46 to $24.77 per hour_

**_ QUALIFICATIONS:_**

**_ Education: _**
- _Diploma (2 Year) or Degree in Social Services/Gerontology or Recreation or related field._
- _Valid First Aid, CPR and Safe Food Handler certificates are an asset but not required._

**_Experience:_**
- _Experience in Social Services/Gerontology or related field a definite asset._
- _Experience working with seniors and/or individuals with varying abilities preferred_
- _Knowledge of community resources & experience with fundraising an asset_

**_ Abilities:_**
- _Excellent organization, computer, interpersonal and communication skills_
- _Ability to demonstrate initiative and good judgment_
- _Ability to establish good working relationships and maintain flexibility to meet the needs of multiple managers and departments_
- _Ability to work within a partnership team environment and independently_
- _Valid driver’s license, insurance and use of vehicle_
