Résumé des fonctions

Le ou la constable est la personne-ressource pour toutes les questions de sécurité et de maintien de l'ordre. Le ou la titulaire du poste répond aux appels d'urgence et travaille parfois selon un horaire irrégulier, pendant la nuit, le jour, les fins de semaine et les jours fériés, afin d'assurer la protection de l'exploitation 7 jours sur 7 et 24 heures sur 24.

Principales responsabilités
- Établir des partenariats de travail avec les fonctionnaires municipaux, provinciaux et fédéraux, les grands secteurs industriels et les entreprises locales ayant des incidences sur les activités du CN
- Déterminer les lieux présentant des risques élevés et élaborer des plans d'action visant à assurer la sécurité et à prévenir les pertes
- S'exprimer en public régulièrement
- Donner des présentations sur l'Opération Gareautrain

Conditions de travail
- Déplacements fréquents dans un vaste secteur géographique
- Travail par quarts, les fins de semaine et les jours fériés, au besoin

Exigences
- Certification (ou possibilité de certification) de secourisme et de réanimation cardiorespiratoire (RCR)
- Permis de conduire en règle
- Résider dans un rayon de 50 km du lieu de travail
- Faire preuve d'un bon jugement, de professionnalisme, d'autonomie et d'un bon sens de l'initiative
- Prendre des décisions éclairées en temps opportun afin que les tâches soient exécutées
- Être parfaitement bilingue (français et anglais) à l'oral et à l'écrit*
- Toute expérience, formation, compétence ou connaissance dans l'un des domaines ci-dessus constitue un atout
