Service Taping Technician

**Position Description**:
Working closely with the SPAAR Service Field Supervisor, the SPAAR Service Manager and the Service Team, the Service Taping Technician is responsible for completing the taping portion of drywall repairs including tape and a coat, finish for paint and texture. The Taping Technician works in homes both during the construction segment and after occupancy. Start time 6:30am.

- Strong ability to logically think through requests and problem solve.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, including time management.
- Ability to multi-task and follow through on tasks.
- Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Complete high-quality taping and sanding drywall repairs for various finishes such as painting and texture.
- Small boarding repairs - up to 3 ft X 3 ft including doorway returns.
- Complete trades date appointments in occupied homes.
- Must be able to work effectively with Builders and Homeowners.
- Must be able to effectively work with other trades including boarders, finishers, railing and cabinet installers and painters.
- Effectively manage a list of jobs and call in for more work regularly.
- Provide office staff with texture dates and relevant follow up information.
- Provide office staff with details of the work completed for billing purposes.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Minimum five (5) years experience as a Drywall Taper.
- Experience in the construction industry and in a residential drywall environment.
- Experience in taping and sanding skills with the ability to effectively trouble shoot issues regarding a variety of different scenarios.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to meet deadlines, self-motivate, be flexible, and a team player.
Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
