**Wilson College of Leadership and Civic Engagement** (the College) is a newly formed collaborative academic unit between the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Social Sciences at McMaster University. The College, under development, merges the rich academic heritage of McMaster University with innovative education & research in leadership and civic engagement. **Job summary**

Responsible for developing, coordinating, and promoting assigned projects and programs related to the external engagement and research activities of the College. Builds strategic alliances with external partners and faculty, staff, and student groups.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of major research programs across multiple sites.
- Develop inter-disciplinary, inter-institutional, and inter-sectoral research collaborations.
- Identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with campus partners and build partnerships with various stakeholders across the University and the greater community.
- Analyze and interpret data for purposes of evaluating results, communicating with partners and interested parties, and informing future planning.
- Develop and conduct course, program, project, and event evaluations, provide feedback to necessary parties, and use feedback to enhance the course, program, project, or event.
- Maintain, monitor and report on project expenditures and provide financial projections and adjustments.
- Establish work priorities and schedule the necessary resources for assigned projects and programs.
- Provide regular reports to the team and Assistant Director, make recommendations, and seek feedback and direction.
- Participate on related committees and working groups to promote the work of the College.
- Plan and coordinate costs, logistics and resources, including travel, catering and audio-visual equipment, for events, information sessions, workshops, and speaker presentations.
- Update, maintain and verify statistical information for program participation for the purpose of program review and reporting.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings between various stakeholders internally and externally.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the research community, staff in the McMaster Research Finance and McMaster Faculties, as well as staff in partner institutions.
- Coordinate large and diverse cross-functional teams which may include internal researchers and staff, other academic institution personnel and external partners.
- Develop and implement knowledge transfer strategies and write a variety of communication and information dissemination documents and correspondence such as newsletters, bulletins, and reports.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders locally, provincially and nationally.
- Liaise with administrative support in McMaster’s Faculties to identify and support opportunities for interdisciplinary, inter-faculty research and knowledge mobilization collaborations.
- Work with researchers, research project staff, and other stakeholders to facilitate administrative aspects of funded projects and inter-project coordination once funding has been received.
- Track all ongoing research support tasks and provide regular updates to senior administration.
- Proofread and edit dissemination materials and data.
- Organize workshops, seminars, conferences on & off campus that align with the mandate of the College.
- Liaise with communications and marketing staff to ensure events are promoted and properly photographed/recorded.
- Support all administrative aspects of Visiting Fellows & Affiliated Faculty programs.
- Support the development and organization of an online publication series, managing submission and proofreading of articles.
- Provide administrative support to the External Director and External Advisory Council, including scheduling of meetings, preparing documentation and reports, and other assigned duties.
