Under the direction/supervision of the Principal and Facilities Administration, the Head Custodian is responsible for
maintaining the physical school plant and grounds in a safe, clean, comfortable, attractive and efficient condition
within the guidelines, regulations and policies of the Louis Riel School Division.
**REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: -**
Completion of Grade 12 education
- Valid Manitoba 5th Class Power Engineers Certificate

One to two years of related experience
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to respond effectively to the public and school staff
- Good communication and organization skills
- Ability to operate power and manual cleaning equipment and tools
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and with little supervision
- Ability to keep minor records
- Knowledge of WHMIS preferred
- Excellent skills in both official languages (English and French) required for French Immersion Schools
