**Operations Manager (Grading)**
**Location: 9094 Cavanagh Road (Ashton, Ontario)**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Assist with the formulation and implementation of strategic planning for the sector.
- Oversee the production and performance of multiple crews and supervisors.
- Interact with the Project Management Team (PM), clients, consultants, and municipalities to confirm work requirements are met and budgets are achieved.
- Review plans and specifications, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
- Manage crew scheduling to ensure optimization of resources within the division while working with other managers to ensure efficiencies across all departments are realized.
- Ultimately responsible for the quality of workmanship for tasks completed by the Grading sector by managing quality control protocols.
- Oversee the financial performance of the Grading division, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports and project records.
- Update weekly look ahead to identify resource requirements and report the outcome to the VP of Construction Operations.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Continuously assess and improve operational processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Communicate with engineers or owners to assist in the resolution of issues.
- Coordinate with local authorities regarding work schedule and inspections.
**Requirements**:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a Superintendent role or Operations Manager role in heavy civil construction, specifically grading construction is a requirement
- Experience working in the City of Ottawa and surrounding area
- Impeccable integrity
