Administrative Full-time New Position

This position is responsible for providing consultative services to faculty and management in the design, development, and delivery of programs and courses, and student information system curriculum operations. The incumbent will work with Academic School representatives and departments to ensure program and course design, development, review, and delivery at all credential levels reflect best practices in pedagogy and alignment with College and Provincial policies and expectations.

This position will have a portfolio that includes a focus on pathway creation, both towards and from credentials offered by Conestoga.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide program consulting and project management services to Academic Schools to support new program development from concept through to program implementation phases, and program approval by internal and external approving bodies including CVS and MTCU
- Support the development, renewal and maintenance of pathways and other student mobility process, to facilitate easy laddering opportunities into and out of a variety of Conestoga College credentials
- Develop, maintain, and support the use of processes, practices, tools, and resources associated with programs and pathways development such as RfAP, ACASA Summary, and including mapping (EES, evaluation, VLO’s, DLO’s etc.), considering Academic School needs, stakeholder recommendations, and industry best practices
- Liaise with internal resources to support development of new programs and pathways (e.g., Academic Schools, finance, marketing, registrar, institutional research, work integrated learning, curriculum records, interdisciplinary studies, etc.) and with scheduling and space planning departments regarding new and changed program designs impacting space
- Support the development of Applied Degree programs by participating in meetings (PDAC/PAC, Program team, etc.) assisting with mapping, reviewing, and validating program and course level structures (e.g., outcomes, course outlines, etc.); participating in presentations to external reviewers; and recommending processes to improve and build upon credential development efficiencies
- Act as the primary lead supporting the design and development of college related course outlines for all deliveries including face to face, fully online, and blended, encompassing course outline development, template design, and training on how to develop integrated courses
- Participate in Program Reviews to ensure alignment, compliance, and consistency of curriculum theory, Ministry expectations, policies, and practices across the College
- Support the revision of Applied Degree programs by participating in meetings (PDAC/PAC, Program team, etc.) assisting with mapping; reviewing and validating curriculum structures (such as learning outcomes, course outlines, etc.); supporting the development of pathways / advanced standing options; participating in presentations to external reviewers; and recommending processes to improve and build upon degree development efficiencies
- Research, locate, develop, and recommend appropriate program standards and descriptions and relevant documentation. Provide consulting services to the Academic Schools to map curriculum; analyse results of mapping; identify and make recommendations to address gaps; establish action plans and implement curriculum changes aligned with College and Ministry policies, practices, and expectations, at the program and course level
- Provide recommendations that support compliance with the Framework for Programs of Instruction; Minister’s Binding Policy Directive and associated Ministry legislation governing the design, development, and implementation of programs
- Support Student Information System curriculum operations by recommending pathway and student mobility options, creating and extracting reports, liaising with the information technology teams, and initiating new processes for the Course Outline Portal or other interface elements
- Recommend actions to address gaps in processes that impact curriculum best practices.
- Work with Curriculum Records Officer, Curriculum Specialist, and other College services to ensure consolidation of curriculum related tasks
- Support and contribute to Conestoga’s move towards creating a culture of research by integrating evidence best practices into all disseminated information
