We are looking for someone to join our team full time for the position of "Local Driver". We are looking for reliable, detail oriented individuals that want to see their contributions make a difference to the people around them.

This position is 40 hours a week, regular business hours Monday to Friday. Primary duties are pickups and deliveries to and from businesses and job sites in the Hamilton, Brantford, GTA, KW, and Niagara areas.

This position is split between responsibilities related to verifying, loading and delivering products to our customers and distributors, and packaging and raw material pickups from local suppliers and warehouses. You will be part of an integrated team to ensure our diverse range of customers receive their shipments in a timely and professional manner.

This job can act as a gateway to other positions within our organization as employees can expect to have access to advancement oriented on-the-job training in the areas of bulk fluid delivery, along with some functional cross training under the supervision and tutelage of the plant or production manager.

**Duties will include**:

- Perform pre-trip inspections and other health and safety procedures;
- Deliver and unload product to customer sites;
- Be professional with customers/contractors;
- Operate trucks in a safe and consistent manner;
- Maintain cleanliness of the truck, keep interior and exterior free of debris;
- Loading and of trucks using pallet jack(powered), and power liftgate when required;
- Ensure pickup and delivery paperwork (or electronic records) are maintained; and
- Other duties as assigned.

**The successful applicant will have the following**:

- Completion of a secondary school diploma or equivalent;
- permanent resident/citizen of Canada or valid Canadian open work permit;
- 2 years minimum experience in an industrial or logistics setting;
- Valid DZ or AZ class Driver’s License;
- Truck driving experience, preferably with air brake;
- Clean drivers abstract;
- Knowledgeable about the Highway Traffic Act; and
- WHMIS and T.D.G. certifications.

**In addition, the successful applicant should be**:

- Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations;
- Self-directed with the ability to work well with mínimal supervision; and
- Punctual, dependable, and reliable.

**The following would be considered assets**:

- Delivery or order fulfillment experience;
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment;
- Forklift training or experience;
- E-commerce, courier or mailroom experience;
- TDG training, along with shipping and receiving experience;
- WHMIS, addition safety training and/or experience as part of a JHSC; and
- Positive references from a past or current employer.

Compensation includes Medical and dental benefits and an additional health spending account. We work as a team and offer inclusion into the company profit sharing plan as an additional form of compensation. We are flexible in terms of compensation for experienced applicants with proven track records and we can offer retention incentives for applicants with tank truck and bulk liquid cargo experience.
