**Seasonal Tasting Room Staff**

Are you passionate about wine and providing excellent customer service? Are you well organized, cope under pressure, totally reliable, utterly professional, and have amazing attention to detail?

The Roost Wine Company is looking for seasonal tasting room hosts to expand our team in The Blue Mountains, Ontario. No winery experience is necessary but a good attitude and friendly demeanour are essential. Experience in sales, restaurants, bars and/or customer service is an asset.

You would be available to work 2-4 shifts per week, usually within the hours of 11am - 7pm. The position can start immediately or in the early summer. Weekend shifts will be essential.

**Quick Summary of Responsibilities**
- Welcome guests and provide a great atmosphere
- Conduct tastings in an open, enthusiastic manner
- Operate a POS and collect payments
- Answer customer’s questions regarding products, winemaking, and the property in a knowledgeable way
- Be able to handle large numbers of customers under pressure in a short time period
- Keep the bar, patio, retail, and public washroom areas clean and tidy
- Stock shelves and arrange displays
- Basic food prep
- Operate the dishwasher and polish glasses
- Work closely with management and be comfortable sharing ideas and asking questions when in doubt

**Qualifications**
- Must be 18+ years old to serve alcohol in Ontario
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays
- Possess your own transportation (there is no public transport) and local accommodation
- Outgoing, can-do, eager to learn attitude
- Comfortable dealing with clients face-to-face in an outgoing manner
- Able to lift 50lbs (case of wine)
- Smart Serve Ontario certified (or willing to obtain certification)
- Passionate about wine and agro-tourism
- A good sense of humour is a must
