**The Opportunity**

We seek the best and the brightest at 1st Electric, and we are looking for qualified **Gas Fitter Technician** to join our growing team.

**Responsibilities**

As a **Gas Fitter Technician**, your responsibilities include:

- Installing gas for generators, heating systems, and other gas appliances
- Troubleshoot onsite issues
- Perform line sizing calculations based on gas load and provide all information required for completion of fuel safety permits
- Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines between gas unit and gas meter
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Use effective communication to promote relationships with customers, subcontractors and colleagues
- Use Jobber and other software as required for day-to-day operations
- Provide support in the estimating process

Qualifications:

- Certificate of Qualification -Gas Fitter B, Red Seal
- Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license with a good abstract
- Own hand tools, tool pouch and steel toe safety boots
- Ability to travel on a daily basis within the service area, with some travel to outer lying regions as necessary (a company vehicle and gas card will be provided)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- The job is physically demanding and involves occasional heaving lifting, crouching, bending
