The Principal is the liaison with the New Renaissance Bilingual School Board of Directors and is directly responsible to the Chair of the Board. The Principal will be excited to be on the ground floor in developing, with a team, the best English Mandarin bilingual primary and junior school in the province and in the country.

The Principal is the Instructional Leader of the school and works closely with the leadership team (the Chair of the Board, the Director, and teachers). The Principal leads in modeling and in delivering strategic school goals through day-to-day mentoring/management of school staff, communications, processes, systems, safety and security, and well-being of students.

**To be considered for this role, the Principal must demonstrate proven experience in**:
Effective administrative leadership in a public or private elementary school, in Ontario.

Developing and maintaining effective strategies for high quality induction, professional learning and performance review and monitoring.

Creating a learning culture of shared responsibility focused on quality teaching and quality learning for all students.

Strategic thinking in managing and leading change and improvement within the school and its community.

Creating a culture of inclusion through curriculum delivery and hospitality by initiating relevant opportunities to engage with parents and caregivers to build and maintain effective partnerships

**Qualifications**:

- Must be a graduate from a university
- Ontario Certified Teacher an asset
- Must be PQP qualified
- Must understand and be able to express the merits of a bilingual education for students
- Must have strong English communications skills to be able to communicate effectively and calmly with the community, staff, students, parents and with our international partners.
- Must have enthusiasm for education and be nurturing and patient with all students
- Montessori experience an asset

**Education**:

- Must have a university degree
- Must be PQP qualified
- Ontario Certified Teacher an asset

**Experience**:

- Must have primary/junior school principal experience in Canada or in China
- Private School and/or Public School experience an asset

**VULNERABLE SECTOR SCREENING**:
As this role is student related, we will require a vulnerable sector screening (Police Check) report to be completed prior to your commencement as Principal at New Renaissance Academy Bilingual School.
