We are an independent grocery store in Vic West, which for us, means endless possibilities to be creative, analytical, and innovative. There's a lot to take in at the store, so everyone starts on till to give you an opportunity to learn all of our unconventional ways, to be asked all of the (only initially) unpredictable questions, and to be exposed to the varied assortment of tasks.

There's always something to do, and no job here involves being chained to a single spot. You will have some direction, but ideally you are a self starter and someone that, with time, can learn to identify routines and what needs to be done.

We aim to provide a workplace that's kind, fair, and a good long term fit. Major perks are 30% off all store merchandise, $1 in store credit for every hour worked, a fixed weekly schedule with 2 days off in a row if you are working full time (unless you specifically don't want that), and access to a "staff fridge" full of free food.

Specifics for positions open right now:
1. Night-time Stocker - Full Time $21/hr to start, $24/hr after
- working hours are 8 pm - 4 am and ideally Tuesday - Saturday
- must be able to work independently
- must be able to problem solve and prioritize effectively
- must be physically fit to complete repetitive tasks like moving boxes up and down a ladder
- must be able to identify and communicate any problems encountered during their shift
- some computer proficiency preferred

Other Positions:
1. Cashier / Closing Staff - Part Time $18.50/hr
- working hours have a flexible start time, 1 pm or after till 9 pm
- general cashier and customer service
- must be able to complete closing cleaning tasks that involve lifting, sweeping, mopping, pushing

2. Product Writer - Full Time $20/hr
- write food and drink product descriptions
- flexible hours
- must be a comfortable computer user that's able to learn to use a trade specific program
- work independently with a good pace
- send in a 3-5 sentence writing sample for the following two products: Clawson Rutland Red Cheese, Quench Hop Water

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
