MACHINE OPERATOR

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

This is an exciting, in-house, full-time position that includes a variety of challenges, and continuous learning as part of the Structural & Misc. Steel fabrication team. As a machine operator you will be responsible for the setup & operation of our CNC equipment here at Level Steel Inc and carry out other job duties as required. Machine Operators are also responsible for maintaining their equipment and interpreting shop drawings.

**DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES**
- Setting up CNC equipment for daily use
- Maintaining equipment and machinery so they can operate safely
- Maintaining and understanding of operating procedures for their machines
- Perform material handling activities such as loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or by using material handling equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, overhead crane or jib crane
- Reporting safety hazards within the work environment

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Combination of additional education or1 year of experience
- Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics
- Great communication skills for working with others
- Attention to detail
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

The ability to stand continuously is essential, with frequent walking and occasional sitting. The nature of the position will require the employee to perform a wide range of physical activities from pushing and pulling, lifting and carrying heavy objects, to climbing, crouching, kneeling, bending and handling. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
