Concrete Batch Plant Operator

**Batch Duties & General Duties**
- Follows Work Instructions for producing Concrete
- Operate the batch plant using the computerized batch plant control panel
- Must be able to mix/batch Concrete to prescribed standards
- Check aggregates, cement and slag levels and order as required
- Clean the bunkers, inspect and maintain the conveyors in good condition
- Check tanks for admixtures and order through Materials Department
- Ensures the Shift documentation is completed and returned to the proper location at the end of each shift
- Organize and schedule Shift requirements in consultation with the Line and Precast Supervisor
- Perform testing on fresh concrete and prepare samples for lab testing
- Clean the mixers and buckets at the end of every shift
- Ensures all maintenance issues are reported to the Shift Supervisor as soon as they are apparent
- Train and assist other hourly employees as required
- Support projects and training as required to generate business results and expand skill set
- Cycle counts and inventory of new materials
- Ensures that procedures and work instructions are adhered to
- Reports all non-conformances to the Plant Supervisor
- Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisors or Shift

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum high school diploma
- Front End Loader operator certificate an asset
- ACI certification is an asset
