We are looking to add an Accountant / Bookkeeper to our team with some experience in the sign or similar industry (preferred).

Responsibilities required:
**Summary**

Reporting to the General Manager, the Accountant /Financial Analyst brings an assertive personality, exceptional leadership capabilities, and impressive customer service skills to help us manage our accounting and finance processes. They must be highly organized and always ready to roll up their sleeves to make things happen. They should always be looking to improve processes and ensure things run smoothly and efficiently.

**Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- **Banking & Cash Application**:

- Daily reconciliation of Bank statements of Incoming and outgoing cash
- Application of payments towards invoices and tagging them appropriately
- Processing Credit card payments using Global pay machine
- Recording all entries in the ledger & QuickBooks

- **Expense management.**:

- Daily reconciliation of expenses from credit card and bank statements
- Manage payments/expense against specific job
- Track all business expense and report them daily
- Order all materials & supplies
- **Payroll management.**:

- Manage Weekly payments to staff and vendors
- Ensure that payslips and cheque stubs are filed and saved appropriately
- Maintain confidentiality of the information.

- **Reporting.**:

- Prepare daily snapshot on revenue, accounts receivables, payables and forecast on the cash as well as sales.
- Prepare monthly Trial Balance, Profit & Loss statement and Margin analysis.

- **Continuous improvement.**:

- Review processes on a regular basis; looking for opportunities to improve our cash flow and profit margin.
- Identify and implement changes to internal processes and policies with the objective of optimizing operations.
- Look at problems, find solutions, and implement positive, actionable change.

**Qualifications**
- _The education and experience._
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks in required.
- 5-7 years of experience in Finance & Accounting.
- Experience working in Sign fabrication/manufacturing industry is beneficial but not mandatory
- _The technical skills._
- Excel expert with expertise using VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and manipulating data.
- Good understanding of accounts receivable, collections and payables procedures.
