**Construction Foreperson**

Reporting to the Construction Supervisor, the Construction Foreperson is the expert lead on the construction field coordinating development of Blue Door’s construction projects. The foreperson will be an expert at organizing the daily construction work, have an expert understanding of construction drawings and provide leadership and communication on the field to the team and to the clients.

**What does a Foreperson do?**
- Coordinate with the Construction Supervisor and Project Coordinator to ensure timely completion of projects with high-quality workmanship. This involves overseeing workers, assigning tasks, and ensuring proper setup and cleanup of job sites.

- Promote and enforce a safe working environment by conducting regular toolbox meetings, addressing unsafe work practices, correcting hazardous conditions, and ensuring compliance with organization and government safety standards. Also, ensure that required personal protective equipment is available and used by all staff and program participants.

- Monitor and inspect the quality of work during operations to maintain high standards. Examine workers' equipment to ensure it meets safety standards and intervene as necessary to uphold quality and safety protocols.

- Maintain inventories of tools and equipment, communicate supply needs to designated team members, and ensure all tools and equipment are in working order. Erect and disassemble equipment and machinery as needed for project requirements.

- Help train workers on equipment operation, safety procedures, and the organization's health and safety policies. Enforce all aspects of the Construct Health & Safety Policy to program participants and stakeholders.

- Work under time constraints to meet specific project timelines. Maintain good housekeeping practices to ensure a safe and uncluttered worksite. Perform other duties as required to support project objectives and team efforts.What you bring to the table

**Qualifications**
- 3 to 5 years experience in the construction field as a foreperson/foreman or supervisor
- Experience with residential experience
- Experience with Commercial experience is considered an asset
- Strong understanding and interpretation of construction drawings
- Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Valid Drivers license, clean drivers abstract

**Salary information: $60,000-$75,000**

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
