Funded by Employment Ontario’s Literacy and Basic Skills program, The Workshop Facilitator delivers training in several employment specific workshops. In partnership with local employment centres in St Thomas, Aylmer, and West Lorne, the Workshop Facilitator delivers the following outcomes:

- Deliver a number of workshops with specific learning outcomes to meet the needs of participants
- Manage the learning environment, assuring preparation of the training site
- Explore the unique needs of the group and demonstrate openess to altering the session structure in order to best connect with the audience
- Tailor delivery to the needs of the audience, adjusting content in the moment in a way that feels fluid and natural
- Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and questioning skills and techniques responding appropriately to the participants needs for clarification and feedback
- Provide positive reinforcement and motivational techniques, adapting instructional methods and strategies to accommodate individual and group differences
- Maintain and report on workshop participants’ files
- In consultation with referring partners, develop and adapt workshop materials to meet the needs of current and emerging employment trends

**HOURS OF WORK**:
Scheduled flexibly according to need but generally between the hours of 8:30 and 4:30, Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend and evening hours for events or specific needs

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Required:

- Post-secondary education in employment and adult education
- Two to five years’ work experience in employment and adult education
- Familiarity with apprenticeship, employment trends and hiring criteria for a variety of employment sectors
- Advanced facilitation techniques to personalize delivery of content and enhance the participants' overall experience
- Experience delivering training in an employment or academic setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design and techniques
- Demonstrated continuous learning values in their own professional development
- Consistent access to reliable transportation is a requirement
- Experience delivering on-line training

Preferred:

- Experience working within an Employment Ontario funded program
- Work experience in retail, trades, and office administration would be an asset

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: From $23.05 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- Elgin, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
