Accounting & Reporting Manager- We’re looking for like-minded individuals to join our team.**About the Role: This is a Full-time, Salaried position.**

**About The Accounting & Report Manager**
- As the manager of accounting, you will have responsibility for the accuracy of the financial statements through management of the transaction processing, month-end close processes and hands-on preparation of financial statements. In addition, you will coach and develop a team of two individuals and ensure efficient processes in accounts payable and general accounting.-
**Key Responsibilities**:
Finance
- Responsible for month-end close and reporting for MAD Canada, MAD US and Consolidated statements (including subsidiaries)
- Support reporting and analysis on banking facilities
- Sales analysis including product group profit analysis and job analysis on the cabs business
- Quarterly forecasting of P&L and balance sheet to support cash flow forecast and hedging
- Responsible for the annual budget for MAD Canada and MAD US

Accounting- Complete Inventory entries for month-end for MAD Canada and complete analysis to validate the accuracy of balances.
- Works directly with supply chain and procurement teams to support inventory and accounts payable transactions management in Syspro including ensuring optimization of use of ERP programs.
- Responsible for accurate and timely completion of MAD US Fixtures entity accounting and reporting on a monthly basis. This includes bank reconciliations and settlements of intercompany transactions.
- Review and approve of payroll for MAD Elevator
- Management of employee expense systems and processes including ensuring the reconciliation of clearing accounts
- Day-to-day management of Accounts payable including supporting vendor issues, system transaction processing support and identification of improvement opportunities for efficiency and accuracy.
- Coach and develop AP coordinator.
- Responsible for ensuring all balance sheet accounts are accurate at period end. This includes reviewing and approval of all balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring material accounts are being reconciled on a timely basis. This may include directly completing reconciliations (ex. Inventory, deferred revenue).
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting transactions and general accounting. Propose and execute on projects to simplify and improve efficiencies and accuracy.
- Ownership of employee expense processing. Oversight and administration of Expense Point software.
- Ownership of AP robot and other software programs being used for transaction processing for AP.
- Leads the preparation and working with the company’s third-party auditors to complete annual engagement within 60 days of year-end. Ensures maximization of corporate tax deductions and minimizes accounting adjustments at year-end.

Supply Chain- Inventory auditing and optimization
- Support annual and quarterly inventory counts
- Support development of inventory controls and execution of oversight

Other- Other duties as assigned.
- Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.

**Attributes, Skills and Knowledge**:

- Degree or diploma in accounting, commerce, or finance.
- 3+ years of work experience in accounting and financial reporting
- ERP Systems knowledge and ability to learn and investigate accounting transaction issues
- Strong knowledge of accounting controls
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Self-motivated and ability to deliver with the high level of accuracy
- Strong time management, collaboration and leadership skills
- Experience with Syspro, Sage ERP systems preferred
- SQL experience is a bonus
- Internal reporting and analysis and consolidations experience will be an asset
- CPA, CA or actively working towards designation

**This position works out of our Mississauga, Ontario location. Hours are typically 8:30am to 5:00pm with flexibility.**
