**Position Summary**

**Location: Mississauga, Ontario**

**Schedule: Monday to Friday. 40 hours. Afterhours when req.**

**What you will do**
- Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide optimal response time to front-end users
- Manage the execution and completion of back-end jobs and services on production servers
- Manage the replication of data from source databases to replicated destinations to ensure data availability for business reporting
- Work closely with the Infrastructure Team to ensure database backup completion
- Troubleshoot database errors and perform root cause analysis to determine the cause of issues and either fix or provide recommendations toward solutions
- Monitor and document security and compliance threats that may affect the production databases, such as unauthorized access, data loss, and long-running queries
- Support the Infrastructure team in server patch update and projects as required
- Produce reports on database usage, volume growth, and query execution time
- When assigned, provide support to the development team in database design, query optimization, and production deployment.

- Azure Data Warehouse and SQL as Managed Service
- BizTalk SSIS
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
- Hands-on experience with database administration, data manipulation languages, and core principles of database design
- MS-SQL
- Power BI, SSRS
- Project Management skills
- QL Server databases, preferably in Quest Spotlight
- SQL Server database backup, recovery, log shipping, and transactional replication
