Would you like to join an energetic team who is committed to enhancing the lives of seniors in our community? Home Instead is currently looking to recruit for a Junior Bookkeeper.

The Bookkeeper is responsible for ensuring that payroll, banking, and financial reconciliations are completed accurately and on time. This role is also responsible for ensuring that accounts are kept current. This role will be responsible to ensure that invoices have the appropriate approval and are paid in a timely fashion. To support the overall business this role will also be responsible for reporting results and providing benchmark reports to management to run the business.

As the Bookkeeper you will:

- Work with the financial team to complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Coordinate approvals and payments of all invoices from vendors according to the agreed upon terms
- Work with team to provide necessary information to ensure there are no outstanding invoices or accounts
- Process bank deposits, direct debits, credit cards with client payments and refunds
- Annual reconciliation for all vendors such as WSIB, EHT and other required reporting
- Reconciliations of credit card statements for approval meeting due dates
- Process all payroll related items using our platforms (ADP & Payworks)
- Address all requests from our government partnerships in relation to payroll or other financial information
- Completion of reports and invoicing for all government partnerships
- Complete financial benchmark and all other financial or payroll reports as required
- Complete additional financial or payroll reports as required

Job Requirements:

- Provide top notch customer service to internal and external customers
- Ability to thrive in fast paced environments and able to multi-task
- Excellent organization skills with special attention to detail
- Discern when there is need for quick decisions or more thorough assessment
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality if information
- Background in the payroll or bookkeeping space in Canada is an asset
- Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Payworks: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Drivers License (preferred)
