- THE OPPORTUNITY
- Reporting to the Senior Manager, Client Experience, the Manager, Client Communication (the Manager) plans, manages and implements approved communication programs and related initiatives in support of the client communications program. The Manager works with a diverse range of investment professionals and client representatives in a proactive and confidential manner.
- WHAT YOU BRING
- Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or equivalent-
- Minimum eight years of communication and issues management experience in the business sector-
- Knowledge of investor relations communications, institutional investing or finance-
- Superior writing and editing skills and excellent attention to detail-
- Strong project management skills and ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven and complex environment-
- Ability to work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders- Strongly Preferred:
- Completion of the CFA, CFA Institute Investment Foundations® Program, or Canadian Securities Course (CSC®)- WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Strategic Communication- Support the Senior Manager with the development and execution of the strategic client engagement and communications plan to strengthen client relations-
- Plan and implement communication strategies to inform clients of ongoing BCI investment activities-
- Produce collateral material to support client communication initiatives including: quarterly updates; speaking notes; presentations; speeches; videos; and digital content for client websites-
- Maintain and enhance BCI’s client portal based on recognized best practices-
- Monitor and edit written materials to ensure they reflect client messaging and editorial standards-
- Collaborate with internal colleagues to produce communication materials that effectively advise clients of potential reputation risks and other corporate matters-
- Support the Client Partnerships team in efforts to continuously improve client-related communication and guidance-
- Support the management of client events (e.g., Investor’s Day, investment workshops)-
- Contribute to the development of a client-centric culture- Planning and Engagement- Coordinate and develop integrated communication plans with internal colleagues and teams (develop messages that respond to clients’ needs, assess potential reputational risks, describe investment value, incorporate client key messages, etc.)-
- Participate in stakeholder/client analysis to better understand client issues and support communications strategies and plans- Corporate Responsibilities- Participates in emergency/crisis communication activities-
- Function as Senior Manager, Client Experience as and when needed- WHERE YOU WILL WORK
- Work from our downtown Victoria office; relocation support is available if needed
- SALARY RANGE
