Resilience Coach

**Company Overview**:AIR provides resilience training to individuals and organizations by helping individuals learn and build skills. Originating from Halifax, AIR has been educating and building resilience locally and nationally for more than ten years.

**About the eMpower Program**: The eMpower program is an evidence-based 8-week program designed to empower individuals aged 18 and above to strengthen their mental resilience and well-being. Through a combination of virtual coaching sessions and access to our digital resilience training platform, AIR Space, participants embark on a journey of self-discovery, skill-building, and personal growth.

**Your Role as an eMpower Micro-Coach**:As an eMpower micro-coach, you'll provide personalized guidance, support, and encouragement to participants throughout their journey. Your role includes facilitating one-on-one micro-coaching sessions via Zoom, recommending tailored activities inside AIR Space, and fostering a supportive environment where participants feel empowered to explore and grow.

**What to Expect**:

- You'll conduct up to six 20-minute micro-coaching sessions with each participant over the course of 8 weeks.
- You'll leverage the AIR Space platform to prescribe activities to boost participants’ resilience and mental fitness.
- You'll play an instrumental role in helping participants overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve their desired outcomes.

**Qualities We’re Looking For**:

- Having a college diploma or undergraduate degree (relevant field is preferred)
- Effective written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and remain calm and effective in challenging situations
- Reliable and punctual
- Open to feedback
- Non-judgemental and accepting of diverse values and beliefs
- Ability to work independently
- Previous experience in a similar role is an asset but not required
- Bilingual French/English is an asset

**What will be expected of you**:

- Police reference check, including vulnerable sector screening
- Successful completion of AIR’s micro-coach training program
- 10 hours/wk working within AIR’s policy and procedure guidelines
- Maintaining a confidential space when engaging in coaching tasks/duties
- Participation in ongoing training as needed

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
