**Scientist - Microbiology (2301)**

TerraBioGen is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Scientist with microbiology/agronomy background to join its research team and be part of a pioneering area of crop science.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Bacterial isolation and strain preservation
- Media preparation
- Data collection and documentation
- Inventory of fermented materials
- Supporting plant bioassay experiments and experimental optimization of products
- General Duties, washing glassware, material preparation, and agronomy support.

**Qualifications required include**:

- A post secondary education in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of laboratory experience, or a MSc degree in a related field.
- Knowledge of laboratory biosafety and aseptic practices
- Bacterial culturing is considered an asset
- Solid record keeping and organizational ability.
- Good time management and precision following SOPs.
- Willingness to perform repetitive work.
- Computer skills are necessary.
- Availability to work on weekends
