Autism Nova Scotia delivers programming in Halifax and in nine communities across Nova Scotia through our Regional Autism Centers. Our three program divisions are: Social & Community Inclusion; Employment Support; and Family and Caregiver Support.

At Autism Nova Scotia’s Social Enterprise The Pearl we make and sell jewellery and accessories with the purpose to increase visibility and funds to support Autism Nova Scotia’s programs and services with the goal to empower Autistic Individuals and their families. We retail The Pearl products on our website, at our Halifax office, POP UP Community Events and at the Halifax Seaport Market. In addition of being a retail location, our HSM booth also functions as learning platform for Autism Nova Scotia’s program EmploymentWorks. In addition, we wholesale our products to stores in Atlantic Canada.

**JOB TITLE**: Retail Sales Manager

**POSITION**: Full-Time - 40 hours a week, **_18-month term with the possibility of extension _**. Regular work week: Tuesday - Saturday. Is expected to work occasional Sundays’.
**TIME **Commencing July 2024

**LOCATION**:Office Spring Garden Road, Halifax, Halifax Seaport Market, Throughout HRM depending on POP UP locations.

**What you’ll be doing **
Reporting to the Social Enterprise & Cause Marketing Director, you will be responsible for the retail division of Autism Nova Scotia’s Social Enterprise The Pearl. You will be the driving force behind the successful operation and profitability of all The Pearl’s retail sales locations. You will oversee the day-to-day activities, ensuring that sales targets are met, customer satisfaction is maintained, and policies are upheld. You will be pivotal in shaping the customer experience, managing staff, and steering The Pearl towards financial success.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage day-to-day operations of the retail division of The Pearl and achieve set sales targets.
- Train, develop and manage a team of sales associates to deliver an exceptional The Pearl experience.
- Schedule and maintain clear and consistent communication with The Pearl’s retail sales team.
- Track financial data and analyze sales to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive traffic and sales, including social media and community outreach programs.
- Ensure that all retail locations are visually appealing and merchandised to showcase The Pearl products effectively.
- Maintain, update, and allocate Shopify POS Systems for all locations.
- Monitor and maintain the inventory levels.
- Maintain, allocate and coordinate displays, tables, and accessories for POP UP Community events.
- Ensure retail web orders are packed, processed and go out on time.
- Maintain and allocate department floats in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.

**What we’re looking for
**Qualifications And Skills**
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in retail management or a similar field.
- Minimum 2 years retail manager or supervisory experience.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and maximizing profitability.
- Proven history of training employees and guiding them towards success.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Adept with Microsoft Office, Canva and Shopify and Social Media platforms.

**Requirement**
- A clear criminal record check including the vulnerable sector check.
- A Clear, current Child Abuse Registry Check.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
