Product Management Specialist

As part of Brand & Product Innovation team at Pure Sunfarms, our Product Management Specialist is key to supporting the effective delivery and execution of our product pipeline. Focusing on bringing products to market, you are highly organized, supporting the coordination of multiple in-flight product development projects. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional partners, project management skills, including document management, exceptional problem solving, strong critical thinking and a passion for creating products that resonate with consumers.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
**Product Management**
- Support the organization of the Company’s product portfolio, ensuring all specifications and details are reflected.
- Support the Innovation and R&D teams to develop innovative product concepts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product information within all systems including ERP.
- Assist in the creation of comprehensive and accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for new products by working closely with key stakeholders to gather necessary data.
- Initiate and manage change control plans for new products, aligning key stakeholders, and tracking tasks to completion.
- Maintain an understanding of cannabis regulations, connecting as needed with the Regulatory team throughout the product development process.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for raw materials and packaging.
- Own the procurement, organization, and cataloguing of material and packaging samples.
- Coordinate artwork design, delivery, and approvals to support on-time packaging orders.
**Project Coordination**
- Create and manage Product Project Plans, reporting on progress, proactively identifying roadblocks, and supporting the team to mitigate and solve potential problems.
- Drive on-time execution of deliverables such as product prototypes, product submissions, key project documentation, internal product set-ups, and final packaging delivery.
- Prepare meeting agendas, summarize takeaway actions, and follow up on upcoming and outstanding deliverables.
**Product Trends & Market Knowledge**
- Maintain a high degree of curiosity, understanding industry trends, competitive landscape brands, and products to understand how consumer insights drive product development.
- Ongoing identification of key consumer insights, preferences, and behaviours, both within the industry and in other industries.
**OTHER DUTIES**

**Your Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce or related field preferred.
- 3+ years related experience in project coordination, product management, or innovation.
**Your Approach & Strengths**
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to understand and organize complex projects.
- Critical thinker and able to solve complex problems independently.
- Strong business acumen and has experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter and self-motivated to deliver and adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects at any given time and at various stages of development.
- Proven ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of stakeholders and effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams through multiple projects.
- Strong analytical skills, MS Office, especially proficient in Excel, have experience using ERP systems, and project planning tools.
- Knowledge of the legal cannabis industry and cannabis products is an asset.
Must have the ability to obtain and pass a RCMP Criminal Record Check and maintain security clearance.
