About the role*
We are looking for an exceptional data driven and customer focused Group Product Manager to lead the development of our Taxi and Transit solutions.

Reporting to the VP of Product Management and Engineering, you are responsible for managing the product team for our taxi and transit solutions. You are also a hands-on senior product manager and will oversee and maintain our product roadmaps. You need to ensure that requirements are clearly communicated, are well understood by the engineering team and proactive communication is done with the company stakeholders and with our users.

Responsibilities*
- Manage the members of the product team (i.e., Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Product Owners, etc.) including hiring, onboarding, overseeing their day-to-day activities, providing mentorship and being responsible for their career growth
- Foster an overall culture of enthusiasm, motivation, engagement and high performance within the Product team
- Resolve functional and personal conflicts through consultation with HR, and stakeholders/department heads
- Own all aspects of the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring its end-to-end success.
- Ensure the timely development and execution of plans, products and features to assure growth goals of the company are achieved
- Help with defining product vision and strategy
- Maintain the product roadmap for all products and ensure that we meet or beat our targeted deadlines
- Work with other product managers and product owners to track the progress of goals set
- Ensure that the product team meets and works closely with Software Developers, Researchers, Software Architects and other members of the R&D team to assist them with translating the requirements into user stories
- Ensure that the product team closely works to track the progress of products and projects using JIRA, Confluence, and any other necessary tools
- Develop a deep understanding of taxi, transit and paratransit industries, customer needs, user workflows, use cases and underlying business problems by market research, interviewing customers and business stakeholders, and analysis of the usage stats of our products.
- Continuously come up with new and innovative product solutions or enhance the current ones
- Own the product roadmap for assigned products
- Perform market research and competitive research to fully understand the market landscape and product development opportunities
- Perform user research, survey, and interviews to fully understand the needs of Taxi and Transit users and DDS’ customers
- Ensure consistency for user interaction and experience across all product touchpoints
- Dig deep in usage analytics of our products and use that information to improve our products
- Gather and document requirements for our new products and features
- Work collaboratively with UX Designers and developers to conceptualize, design, specify, and prototype solutions, while continuously validating with the internal and external stakeholders.
- Track and report on OKRs and KPIs set for the product team
- Identify risks, expose, and validate assumptions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competition, technology standards, industry trends and emerging technologies
- Cultivate a strong working relationship with internal stakeholders and customers.
- Provide regular progress reports to the management team
- Adeptly handle and adjust to changing priorities.
- Manage multiple high-priority items at the same time

Qualifications*
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- BA and/or PM certification and/or education an asset
- +5 years working as a Product Manager in an agile/scrum team.
- +3 years directly managing other members of the product team including other product managers, product owners and UX/UI designers.
- +3 years of experience working with customers directly (e.g., conducting user research and user interviews)
- Experience working in an external customer facing role in a B2B environment.
- Transportation and GPS positioning systems experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbally and in writing)
- Ability to communicate complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner to stakeholders
- Ability to conduct effective presentations in front of a large audience
- Ability to impact operations and effect positive change
