Hospitality Worker

We are seeking Hospitality Workers to join our food and beverage service team in the Arbor Room. Successful applicants will ensure all guests have an excellent experience through superlative customer service. Under general supervision, they will greet guests, take orders, deliver food and beverage, make menu recommendations, answer questions, and share additional information about the Arbor Room and Hart House.

**Responsibilities and Duties include**:

- Prepare and set up service areas and facilities for use by guests.
- Deliver to service areas. Stock, count and record all inventories of goods and cash.
- Serve food and beverage products to guests as required.
- Monitor and supervise alcohol consumption as required by the Liquor License Act and University of Toronto alcohol policies.
- Complete closing inventory and cash reports in prescribed manner.
- Secure inventories, cash and facilities in prescribed manner.
- Maintain the service and public areas in a safe, sanitary and hospitable condition.
- Follow all prescribed food handling procedures as required by legislation.
- Generally assist in operation of department services as required.

**Experience**:

- Previous related experience within Hospitality preferred.
- Cash Handling experience preferred.

**Other**:

- Must hold a valid Smartserve Certification during the time of employment (Training may be provided to hired applicant.)
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age as required by the Liquor License Act.

**Hours**: This is a casual position with no guarantee of hours. Schedules will be made according to availability and demand. May include weekends and evenings.

**Hourly Wage: $15.50**

This is a term position ending July 7, 2023. There are four (4) vacancies open.
