Our company is hiring a Product Development Chef to join our growing team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.
- Develop new recipes according to customer requirements and market trends
- Improve existing formulas and suggest processing alternatives to meet high volume production and compliance needs.
- Scale up recipes for high volume production
- Work closely with the production and quality assurance departments
- Maintain database of ingredients and flavors
- Organize taste panels and sensory evaluations and produce reports
- Support the sales team by preparing samples and assist in client presentations
- Source ingredients, evaluate and approve ingredients and suppliers

**Qualifications**:

- Culinary program graduate
- Five years experience as Chef or in a product development function
- Strong working knowledge of creating standardized recipes
- Must be a team player in a fast paced and changing environment
- Exceptional sense of taste and smell
- Knowledge of major international cuisines and flavors
- Must be able to work alone and stay on task with mínimal supervision
- Bilingualism is a strong asset, both oral and written
- Able to travel regularly in North America

**Responsabilités**

Développer de nouvelles recettes selon les exigences des clients et les tendances du marché

Améliorer les formules existantes et suggérer des alternatives de traitement pour répondre aux besoins de production et de conformité à haut volume.

Augmentez les recettes pour une production à grand volume

Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les départements de production et d’assurance qualité

Tenir à jour la base de données des ingrédients et des saveurs

Organiser des panels de dégustation et des évaluations sensorielles et produire des rapports

Soutenir l’équipe des ventes en préparant les échantillons et assister aux présentations clients

Sourcer les ingrédients, évaluer et approuver les ingrédients et les fournisseurs

**Qualifications**

Détenir un diplôme d’un programme culinaire

Cinq ans d'expérience en tant que chef ou dans une fonction de développement de produits

Solide connaissance pratique de la création de recettes

Doit avoir l'esprit d'équipe dans un environnement en évolution rapide

Sens du goût et de l'odorat exceptionnels

Connaissance des cuisines et saveurs internationales

Doit être capable de travailler seul et de rester concentré sur sa tâche avec un minimum de supervision

Le bilinguisme est un atout fort, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit

Capable de voyager régulièrement en Amérique du Nord

**Salary**: From $70,000.00 per year
