**Responsibilities**:

- Perform maintenance and repairs on On/Off Highway equipment, including diagnosing and troubleshooting issues
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Repair or replace faulty components on engines, transmissions, brake systems and hydraulic systems.
- Weld and fabricate metal components as needed
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently

**Skills**:

- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Proficient in welding and fabrication techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required in a diesel technician role
- Knowledge of aspects of heavy equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical systems in diesel engines is beneficial
- Familiarity with Off Highway Equipment considered an asset.

Ability to commute/relocate:

**Experience**:

- mechanical: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
- Class 1 Licence (preferred)
- Journeyman Certificate (preferred)

Work Location: In person
