Extruder Operator

Plastic Package Manufacturer looking for experienced extruder operator(s) for new production line. Positions available on the Afternoon (3pm - 11pm) and Night (11pm - 7am)

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate extrusion machines to produce high-quality product
- Monitor production process to ensure proper functioning of equipment and adherence to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery
- Measure and inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and record data throughout process.
- Assemble and fabricate components as needed
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

**Requirements**:

- Experience in materials handling and operating extrusion machines is preferred
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers
- Ability to use hand tools effectively to make adjustments
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues

Team attitude and good communication is a must.

**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dundas, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- plastics extrusion: 1 year (required)
