**Main tasks and responsibilities**:
Supervising, providing guidance and coaching students who are unable to function in their classroom environment. Teaching special needs students' social skills and aggression replacement training in individual or group settings. Managing a resource room, for crisis interventions and when necessary, in-school suspensions. Developing behavioral programs. Providing positive reinforcement programs for individual students. Facilitating activities during lunch, recess and after school programs. Collecting and processing daily data. Attending monthly behavioral strategy meetings. Acts as a PEAKS ambassador. Consultation with external services (CLSC, CRDI, etc.)

**Requirements & Qualifications**

Experience with special needs students required. RAC in Special Care Counselling or DCS/DEC Program or Certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis and/or successful completion of a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences. A min. of 3 yrs. exp. working with special needs students. Knowledge of supportive strategies needs and risk assessment. Good understanding of crisis management, strong understanding of stages of childhood development.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Contract length: 10 months

**Salary**: From $24.78 per hour
