- JBH is a Clinical Education site in conjunction with McMaster University, and designated as an Academic Community Teaching Hospital. Its expanded campus includes the state-of-art Michael Lee-Chin & Family Patient Tower, featuring a new Emergency Department, 172 acute inpatient beds, 9 new Operating Rooms and post-anaesthetic care unit to support expanded medical, surgical and outpatient services. JBH is also a partner member of the Burlington Ontario Health Team.- RESPONSIBILITIES:

- " Act as a clinical consultant and resource for departmental and hospital staff.
- " Manage a caseload of patients as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
- " Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of an appropriate clinical in-service education program within the department based on identified needs.
- " Plan and implement supervised clinical experience for Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy students, Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant students and high school co-op students.
- " Participate in the identification of service/program needs, and make recommendations that recognize fiscal and practical priorities with respect to physical resources.
- " Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policy and procedures.
- " Participate in the interview process for prospective staff in relation to clinical expertise.
- " Participate in the orientation of new staff members
- " Chair regular Team Meetings with Physiotherapy Staff, involving Allied Manager as needed
- QUALIFICATIONS:

- " Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy degree or equivalent
- " Licensed by the College of Physical Therapists of Ontario or the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- " Minimum five (5) years clinical experience.
- " Demonstrated teaching and supervisory skills.
- " Remain current in the field of Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy by reading current literature and attending seminars, courses and conferences to learn new techniques and approaches to patient care.-
