Pawsentials is an established and well-loved dog walking company seeking exceptional dog walkers. Our goal is to provide safe and controlled dog hiking and adventure experiences for busy owners. Pawsentials Pet Services is a bonded, insured, employee-centric company focused on building meaningful relationships with pups and their parents.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have reliable large-vehicle or SUV transportation to transport animals on short trips; we provide vehicle use reimbursements and protective equipment for your vehicle
- Prior experience working with dogs
- Love and respect for animals and clients
- Smartphone with unlimited data
- Comfortable working with all breeds of dogs both big and small
- Must feel comfortable working with more than one dog at a time
- Able and willing to be outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must have clean criminal record
- Physically can lift 50lbs
- Able to walk 6-10kms per day
About the Position:
- Full
- or Part-time up to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Hiking for 1.5 hours, up to twice a day
- Providing full-service pick up and drop off of dogs to client’s homes
- After training, safely manage up to 8 dogs both on
- and off-leash
- Training new dogs basic obedience and recall on hikes
- Optional attendance in weekend pet events hosted by the city
Work Location:
- Varying regional trails within Greater Victoria; we reimburse for vehicle/tool usage
**Experience**:
- Working with pets (1 yr pref)
License/Cert:
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with Clean Record (required)
