Express Oil Change Technician

The O’Neill Auto Group is looking to hire a Lube and Tire technician to maintain and service customers' vehicles at our Nissan dealership in Corner Brook.

The technician’s responsibilities include preparing detailed vehicle service reports, replacing vehicle wiper blades and car batteries, and changing engine oil and filters. You should also be able to keep vehicle interiors clean while performing maintenance and servicing tasks. While experience is an asset, we are willing to provide on-the-job training for the right individual.

To be successful as a lube technician, you should have strong mechanical skills and adhere to all safety procedures and practices. Ultimately, an outstanding technician should be able to communicate effectively with customers and demonstrate excellent time management skills.

Tire and Lube Technician Responsibilities:

- Working alongside trained technicians to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs.
- Assisting technicians as needed.
- Retrieving appropriate parts from parts department as directed by technician.
- Performing Multipoint inspections, oil changes, tire changeovers, lubrication work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Attending training classes and departmental meetings.
- Operating all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

Tire and Lube Technician Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a postsecondary education tire and lube technician program.
- Proven experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
- Valid driver's license, clean driver’s abstract and code of conduct required.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.

Must be able to drive manual and automatic cars and trucks.

Previous dealership experience considered an asset.

**Salary**: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
