We are seeking a Pension Manager to join our BPA team in Mississauga.

The Pension Manager is responsible for the effective day-to-day administration of a portfolio of Client Pension Plans and leads multiple teams of pension administration professionals.

**The Pension Manager will**:

- Responsible for teams’ maintenance of accurate defined benefit and/or defined contribution pension plan records, calculations and communication based on plan provisions, actuarial assumptions, and legislative rules.
- Performs peer reviews and participates in production of daily work, yearend validations, annual statements, and regulatory filings.
- Senior point of contact for questions regarding special cases, legislation, and plan interpretations.
- Responsible for high team engagement and morale.
- Communicates new legislative rules and plan provisions to staff. Assist with any required training.
- Participates in testing of new/updated administrative tools (excel models, word templates, etc).
- Responsible for client service levels, and participates in client meetings, as required.
- Escalation point of contact for clients and members.
- Works with supervisor to prioritize work and assignments.
- Works with other senior pension administration staff to identify inefficiencies and process improvement.
- Responsible for planning and rollout of projects, and company initiatives.
- Participates in FTE planning.
- Responsible for recruitment of new staff, interviews, and onboarding. This includes submission of all HR
- Forms, and IT setup requests.
- Participates in performance reviews and manages personnel and HR policies.
- Responsible for client invoicing and revenue.
- Provides reports to senior managers and executives. Contributes to business growth as a key member of the company’s leadership team

**To be successful as a Pension Manager **with BPA, you will need**:

- Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a customer service environment, preferable related to defined benefit pension administration.
- Detailed knowledge of defined benefit pension plan administration, actuarial assumptions, CIA recommendations, and legislative regulations for Ontario and other jurisdictions.
- Strong people, leadership, and coaching skills
- Excellent prioritization, time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
