**Job Description Summary**: You will work for the Grid Automation product line. This is a product line within the GE Grid Solutions portfolio and is based in Markham, Ontario, Canada.

Drive optimal performance ( cost, fulfillment, quality, cash) and profitability through the Supply Chain and Project execution. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Site/region strategy and execution of manufacturing finance activities, coordinating planning, pacing, and closing activities. Own P&L and balance sheet activities, including cost accounting, inventory controls (PI, Revaluation, standards, variances, etc.), product fulfillment and COGS booking, functional costs, Variable cost productivity, Plant and equipment, etc.
- Partner with global supply chain and operations to reduce the cost of poor quality within the manufacturing operations.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
- A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy, but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment, but may require more senior levels of guidance.
- Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
- Advanced experience in Finance & Manufacturing Operations.
- Minimum 3-5 years of financial experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited, reference verification and background check.
- Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization or obtain work authorization in the short term

**Desired Characteristics**
- Relevant Accounting Background in cost accounting.
- Accounting Designation (CPA, CA)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- Experience in costing in ERP environment (Oracle ideally).
- Exposure to product costing and cost absorption.
- Exposure to validation of physical inventory.
