Our Petrolia, Ontario location is currently seeking a **Manufacturing Technician **to join the team
- **Scope**_
As the **Manufacturing Technician** you will work with the Engineering & Production Teams to ensure Production processes are running at optimal efficiency while producing high quality parts for our automotive customers.
- **Major Areas of Responsibility**_
- Proficiently sets up and troubleshoots extrusion and moulding equipment
- Recommends, participates in, and implements continuous improvement and proactive initiatives (kaizen)
- Designs & tests process upgrades and new process systems
- Optimizes process to increase efficiency, product quality and reduce waste
- Performs risk assessments
- Completes daily reporting and audits
- Maintains standardized operating instructions (known as OIS-Operation Instruction Sheets) in various departments
- Communicates with prior and oncoming shifts about work assignments and production expectations
- Develops routines & best practices to ensure product quality
- Assists in technical training and provides support to Team Members
- Ability to solve complex technical issues
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation (product drawings, process layouts, control plans, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Other roles and responsibilities as assigned
- **Qualifications**_
- 2+ yrs working experience in a manufacturing environment _**required**_
- Engineering Technologist Diploma or Equivalent Experience _**required**_
- Strong mechanical aptitude of machines and processes
- Ability to repair, set-up, start-up, troubleshoot and shut down machines
- Supervisory/previous experience coaching and mentoring team members is an asset
- Excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong written/verbal and problem-solving skills
- Proficient using the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic working knowledge of 3D Design Softwares (AutoCad, Solidworks, etc.)

**Salary**: From $54,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

**Experience**:

- manufacturing: 2 years (required)
- Set Up/Start Up/Repair & Troubleshooting: 2 years (preferred)
- Supervisory/Coaching & Mentoring Team Members: 1 year (preferred)
- Working Knowledge of 3D Design Software (AutoCad, etc): 3 years (preferred)
