**About the Position**:
McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and secure professional environment for its employees, persons served and visitors. Working in partnership with the Health and Safety Coordinator this role will train staff and promote sound safety practices throughout the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work directly with staff to ensure environmental, health and safety requirements are met and maintained.
- Coach team members to understand their safety responsibilities and enhance performance.
- Prepare and present health and safety presentations for all levels of the organization.
- Train leadership and frontline staff on site hazard assessments.
- General training and orientation to the organization’s health and safety practices.
- Assist with monthly drill compliance at the numerous sites and analyze for corrective action.
- Assist with ongoing maintenance and updates of health and safety system (E-Compliance).
- Track, book and attend external inspections as required in coordination with the Health and Safety Coordinator.

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- Formal education in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in OHS. Experience in a non-profit and /or social services setting considered an asset.
- Experience with COR (AASP or CCSA as certifying partners).
- Strong understanding of the Alberta OHS Act, Regulation and Code, Alberta Fire Code, and Public Health Act requirements for Food Handling permits.
- Experience developing and delivering health and safety training virtual and in-person.
- Experience with Health and Safety Management Software (E-Compliance considered an asset).
- Ability to travel throughout Southern Alberta.
- Advanced Microsoft Office abilities (SharePoint, One Drive, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Clear Child Intervention Record Check within the past six months.
- Clear Police Information Check with vulnerable sector, within the past six months.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, 3-year non-commercial Driver’s Abstract, and use of reliable vehicle with $2M Third Party Liability insurance.
