**Kamloops** **- Junior Estimator**

Our manufacturing plant in Kamloops BC is currently looking for a Junior Estimatorto join our established team. This position has the potential for career progression and includes a comprehensive benefit package.

**About us**:
PRI is part of the Lynum Group of Companies and is an established and growing manufacturing company in Kamloops, BC. Our customers are primarily in mining and oil sands. PRI has broad capabilities including steel fabrication, rubber lining, rubber molding, ceramic lining, on-site lining, and design services. We supply new parts, refurbishments, and custom manufacturing; directly for operations and working as a manufacturer for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) in the production of mineral process equipment.

**Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, technical specifications, and related documents and identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, customer and project specifications, and related documents.
- Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements and presenting prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Upon successful estimates, issues work orders, provides detail drawings, and begins to plan implementation of projects by defining project scope, goals and deliverables, outline tasks and required resources, develop, and manage project team and manage budget.
- Present to stakeholders both internal and external on project timeline, project progress, allocation of resources, manage change when necessary to meet project outputs and continually evaluate and assess progression of project through fabrication facility.
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs and coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects by measuring project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed as well as be able to perform risk management to minimize risks associated with projects by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Work closely with Quality Control and Assurance to ensure project is being executed within stringent quality standards.

**Job Requirements**:

- Certified Engineering Technologist or equivalent experience is considered an asset.
- 2D and or 3D AutoCAD/Inventor Experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to handle multiple complex bids and continuous projects at the same time.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

**Compensation**:
PRI offers a competitive compensation package that is a combination of salary and performance bonus plus benefits that is commensurate with experience. Benefits include group extended health and dental benefits and group RRSP plan.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
