Pharmacy Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy team in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. Your responsibilities will include medication administration, assisting with pharmacy technician duties, and providing exceptional customer service to patients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and package medications for distribution
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Enter prescription information into the computer system
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, ensuring their needs are met
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management
- Adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures, including safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Familiarity with pharmacy technician duties and responsibilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of prescription abbreviations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks as needed

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Expected hours: 20 per week
