**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

The Withdrawal Management and Treatment Services (WMTS) Food Service Support staff are pivotal to the care experience of our clients. You do more than just provide meals; you provide care and comfort You will follow a set menu and prepare meals for our WMTS programs. This includes an 18-bed facility (7 withdrawal management beds for any gender and 11 men’s residential treatment beds) and a 10-bed residential treatment facility for women. You are responsible for maintaining our inventory of food and cleaning supplies. You will perform general cleaning and maintenance as part of a collaborative team that maintains a safe and clean facility.

In this role, you would:

- Complete inventory and purchase food, hygiene, and cleaning supplies
- Do large batch cooking to ensure an inventory of easy to prepare meals
- Prepare and serve meals to clients, reflective of dietary restrictions and needs
- Work within the program budget and minimize food waste
- Organize and clean the kitchen and equipment, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
- Provide instruction in safe food handling, preparation, and storage
- Maintain a clean and sanitary facility through light cleaning
- Alert other staff/supervisors to facility health and safety concerns
- Always present in a professional manner
- Be reliable in your attendance and completion of your duties

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 10 am - 5:30 pm

**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Certificate of Food Management/Preparation
- Valid Ontario Safe Food Handling certificate
- Minimum of 1-year direct work experience
- Possess a working knowledge of WHMIS, Infection Control and Prevention, Health and Safety, and Waste Management Protocols
- Experience in large quantity cooking, preferably in a healthcare facility
- Current valid drivers' license. Access to reliable transportation
- Able to manage occasional exposure to vicarious traumatic stress
