**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Leadership and Strategy**:_
- Lead and mentor a team of estimators, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Develop and implement standardized procedures, methods, and processes for estimating.
- Drive continuous improvement and training initiatives within the estimating department.
- **Pre-Construction Planning**:_
- Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to align bid strategies and project execution plans.
- Develop comprehensive cost analysis, including direct and indirect project expenses.
- **Estimation and Bidding**:_
- Prepare detailed estimates for concrete forming, waterproofing, building restoration, and crane services.
- Analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to determine the best value for the company.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders and maintain follow-ups for successful bid outcomes.
- Maintain relationships with clients and industry contacts to stay informed about upcoming opportunities.
- **Risk Management and Compliance**:_
- Identify project risks and incorporate mitigation strategies within estimates.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements.
- **Reporting and Analysis**:_
- Maintain up-to-date records of past project costs and industry price trends.
- Present detailed reports to senior management outlining key project metrics and cost breakdowns.
- Use estimation software and other digital tools to streamline the estimating process.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CEC, PQS) are considered an asset.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction estimation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in estimating projects related to concrete forming, waterproofing, and restoration.
- Familiarity with the Ontario construction market and regulatory landscape.

**Skills**:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Analytical and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $90,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
