**JOB INFORMATION**:

- We are currently seeking Vehicle Repairperson(s), and the work location for this position is for Leslie Barns. These positions consists of various shifts with Wednesday and Thursday off days.**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Performing servicing, various inspections, maintenance and repair work on mechanical and/or electrical equipment for a variety of vehicles (revenue/non-revenue) at the assigned work location.
- Performing running repairs, removing and installing minor and major electrical, electronic and mechanical units.
- Performing standard scheduled inspections on vehicles repairing minor defects and reporting serious defects.
- Loading and unloading supply trucks and the operations of a forklift.
- Responsible for treating passengers and/or employees with respect and dignity and ensuring the needs of passengers or employees with disabilities are accommodated and/or addressed (within the area of responsibility) in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders so that they can fully benefit from the TTC as a service-provider and an employer.

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Training normally obtained through completion of a Grade 12 technical program, or have the recognized equivalency, as defined by the Training Department.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must pass the Department skills test and have successfully completed the Department’s 1-year training program.
- Must have successfully completed community college level courses approved by the TTC in electrical theory (alternating and direct current).
- Valid class “G” or better Province of Ontario driver’s license.
- Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.

This position is designated Safety Sensitive under the TTC's Fitness for Duty Policy. If you do not hold a designated position, you will be required to pass a drug test as part of the certification process.
