**Position purpose**:
Award scholarships at all academic levels, ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria. Offer consultation services to the university community and external clients regarding available scholarships at all academic levels.

**In this role, your responsibilities will include**:
Advisory Role
- Advise the various bursary selection committees and faculty representatives on eligibility criteria, terms of reference, bursary deadlines, confidentiality, number of recipients and bursary amounts to be allocated, and advise on the best course of action.
- Collaborate on various scholarship programs in terms of planning, developing, drafting, evaluating and updating control procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and methods on eligibility and renewal of scholarships offered by the University or external organizations.
- Advise selection committee members on the amount and number of scholarships to be awarded, ensuring compliance with the terms of reference in order to optimize the use of available funds.

Scholarship Application Management
- Manage the awarding of scholarships by following up with selection committees, faculties, admissions and departments to ensure that payments are made to student accounts within the deadlines set out in the terms of reference.
- Coordinate selection committee meetings to evaluate scholarship applicants and confirm recipients.
- Validate the amounts to be granted to university, annual and endowed funds and inform faculties, departments and selection committees of any anomalies.

Operations
- Ensure that the various databases containing the terms of reference for all scholarships are kept up to date, so that applicants have the right information in relation to eligibility criteria and are not misled.
- Ensure the entry and integrity verification of file data in the scholarship management system in order to authorize scholarship payments to recipients.
- Account for grants awarded to identify any anomalies in forecast expenditure.
- Follow-up on information sent to scholarship recipients in preparation for graduation ceremonies.
- As required, participates and/or contributes to special projects or initiatives of Student Workforce Management and its sector. May be called upon to train Work-Study students to perform assigned tasks.

**What you will bring**:

- Post-secondary diploma****:

- A minimum of 2 years experience in professional customer service as a resource person.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in file analysis, interpretation and explanation of complex regulations and procedures.
- Experience in entering, analyzing and verifying student files.
- Experience in administrative writing.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of information management and database systems, as well as various office software packages (e.g.: customer management system, external departmental database systems, school information system, etc.).
- Knowledge of 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle post-secondary education programs and regulations.
- Knowledge of granting agency, internal and departmental scholarship programs.
- Organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, ensuring confidentiality of information.
- Attention to detail.
- Bilingualism (oral and written).
