**_Duties:_**:

- Manages department staff by hiring, scheduling, providing work direction, reviewing performance, providing feedback, and conducting disciplinary procedures.
- Performs administrative duties including signing time statements for payroll, ordering product, and producing sales, purchase, and manager’s reports.
- Maintains inventory levels by counting stock, ordering and receiving product, and checking invoices.
- Provides exemplary customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues swiftly.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**_Job Description_**

The Produce Manager is responsible for the efficient and fiscally responsible operation of the department, and leading and managing staff to achieve the highest level of customer service. The Produce Manager will also manage budgets, labour costs, inventory control, product presentation, and merchandising. They will coach, motivate, and develop their team to foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an exceptional environment of employee and customer engagement.

Create a coaching and development culture for all employees, which embraces a passion for food.
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership, while serving as a role model.
- Help manage staff, from hiring, orientation, training, and development to performance management.
- Be a leader, actively supporting an environment of employee engagement, with respect and appreciation.
- Support, participate and lead community and charitable events and activities.
- Manage store operations as required.
Customer Offering
- Create a shopping experience that impacts customers in a way that enhances loyalty, sales, and engagement.
- Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs.
- Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge, including awareness of product changes, promotions, and seasonal trends.
- Keep abreast of local competitor activity, industry trends and make recommendations on internal pricing and promotions.

- Coordinate maintenance of department equipment and repairs
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement
**_Job Requirements_**:

- Ability to work independently.
- Above average leadership skills.
- Full knowledge of department operations and skills
- Minimum 5 years of produce department experience.
