Reporting to the Director, Services for Seniors and Performance Improvement, The Lead, Performance Improvement, coordinates and implements organization and systems wide efforts to ensure that performance management (PM) and quality improvement (QI) programs are developed and managed using a data driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives. The position supports organization-wide PMQI initiatives and activities that are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness; participates in organizational and systems planning as required and provides input into PM and QI policy development. The Lead, Performance Improvement role supports clinical, financial, and human resources data analysis, reporting, and program evaluation throughout the organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze, interpret, consult, and make recommendations on information to support strategic evidence-based decision making and knowledge development.
- Identify and collect business and reporting requirements from cross-sector stakeholders and prepares reports and dashboards for identified audiences;
- Provide guidance and expertise with respect to indicator and metric development for performance monitoring;
- Plan, develop, test, deploy and maintain our decision support tools in concert with the project team, LHIN and clients;
- Identify, track and analyze key corporate performance indicators;
- Document all aspects of decision support tool structure and maintain departmental policies and procedures related to same;
- Perform research to collect external indicators for assessment of performance and establishment of benchmarks;
- Recommend the most appropriate tools and techniques for data analysis, evaluation, visualization, and dashboards;
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications to support development of databases and other reporting products.
- A University Bachelor’s Degree in Health Informatics, Health Evaluation, Statistics, Health Administration, Computer Science or similar; A Master’s Degree preferred;
- Experience working with the community health sector;
- Knowledge in qualitative, quantitative and mixed method design and analysis in evaluation of programs and services
- Knowledge of health care reporting requirements and familiarity with various databases used to capture information in various health sectors is an asset;
- Experience in report development including the design of standard and ad hoc reports for both internal and external purposes;
**Key skills and abilities we are looking for**:

- Knowledge and adherence to privacy and confidentiality policies and measures to protect data and information sources;
- Experience with database projects and/or business intelligence;
- Knowledge of common analytics tools/languages including, but not limited to, Business Objects tools such as Web Intelligence (WEBI); R; PowerBI; Python; SAP
- Attention to detail, and the ability to translate business statistical concepts into the data / information realm;
- Excellent problem recognition skills and ability to proactively achieve resolutions both through direction and negotiations;
- Demonstrated strong report writing skills using tools such as, SQL, SAS, Access;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to effectively act as an agent for Reconnect with external agency and as a primary point of contact for items related to reporting and analytics at the organization

- Must be willing to work flexible hours depending on the needs of the agency;
- Attendance at special events from time to time may be required.
