Construction Estimator

Parkwest Projects Ltd. is looking for an Estimator to join our team and be part of an exciting and growing company. Parkwest is a leading general contractor in Winnipeg who completes projects throughout Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. Our team has a shared passion for being a key contributing member to the future of our communities through the projects that we pursue, with a strong focus on upholding the artisanship of the carpentry trade and building trusting relationships with our clients.

As an Estimator you will join our procurement team and be a key individual in the submittal of precise and accurate estimates of the projects that Parkwest Projects pursues. The responsibilities include:

- Oversee the entire tender process
- Obtain and review tender documents
- Attend tender site visits
- Prepare subtrade invitations
- Obtain appropriate Bid Bonds, Insurance, and other project security requirements
- Perform material and labour Quantity Take Offs
- Coordinate with trades throughout tender process
- Collect, review, enter subtrade quotations as received
- Participate in project handover process between procurement and project delivery teams
- Participate in value engineering/cost savings exercise
- Assist with Proposals and Prequalification
- Assist with Construction Workeragement Budget Preparation

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Engineering Technology Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Workeragement Degree, or Equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the ICI sector
- Previous experience estimating commercial construction projects
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Valid Drivers License
